THE Champions League – which is by invitational basis only – has seen some of the best teams from London and abroad enter sides.
The Southfield competition champions, the Southfield Sharks have entered the Champions League and feature London Australia representative players, Brendan Lewis and Adam Madigan. Of the three Southfields competitions they have entered in 2012, they have only lost one match and will definitely be a team to watch at the championships.
In North London, Churrr have been dominating the Highbury competitions, winning the Highbury Early Summer season and currently undefeated in the Late Summer season. Another team to watch at the championships!
The West London champions over at Acton, Tumeke whose players make up the majority of the London New Zealand representative squads have entered in the Champions League and will be sure to entertain the crowd with some amazing ball skills and some fancy footwork.
From abroad, the Bircroft Panthers from Dublin are going to be one of the favourites to take the 2012 title which has been previously won by D.T.F of Balham (2011) and Ref’s Fault of Gladstone Park (2010). The Panthers have won the worlds biggest Tag Rugby Festival, the Pig N Porter five times and will be looking to add to their impressive trophy cabinet.
